Rich Jones, Director of Student Ministry @ Northminster Presbyterian Church, Cincinnati, OH.

Rich graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1990 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. He has also recently completed work on a Certificate in Youth Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Rich was on staff with Youth for Christ from 1990 to 1994 in Lexington, KY. After his time with Youth for Christ, he was a Covenant Church Partner with Young Life and a church named (oddly enough) Northminster Presbyterian in Atlanta, GA from 1994 to 2001. Rich came to Cincinnati to serve as Director of Student Ministry at Northminster Presbyterian (Cincinnati) on January 1, 2001.

Rich is married to Debbie (who is on Young Life staff in Cincinnati and a heck of a lot smarter than Rich) and they have two wonderful children, McKenzie Grace and Brennan Matthew.

Rich loves being with his friends, hanging out with his wife (who is his best friend) and his two kids. He loves to go backpacking, and thanks to his friend Tait, has taken up fly-fishing and is loving it!

Rich's call in life is to build relationships with teenagers pointing them towards a life-changing relationship with Christ. He's in student ministry for a lifetime and loves doing and being what he does and is becoming!

"I love being in Cincinnati (even if it is north of the Mason-Dixon line!). God has blessed my family and I with a great church surrounded by awesome communities. I love building friendships with kids and look forward to sharing my life with Christ with students here. I want to see something exciting happen in the Northern Hills of Cincy through our student ministry. Bottom line, to coin a phrase I read in one of Brennan Manning's books, I hope students (and adults) are 'seized by the Power of a GREAT Affection'! I get to build lifelong friendships with students, create some great opportunities for them, and tell them about Jesus, I feel I am blessed to do what I do!"
